I love mushrooms and I got none. The description says it comes with mushrooms, it should have mushrooms. I even asked for no tofu but to substitute with more veggies, and there were no mushrooms! But this is the first time that the basil leaves aren’t black. I would love to get both healthy basil leaves and mushrooms. That’s what I’m paying for.
There were no mushrooms on my veggie pho. I like the food but quality is inconsistent. Sometimes there’s no mushrooms in it. Sometimes they don’t include basil leaves, but when they do, they are all black. I’ve asked for a side of peanut sauce and I’ve only gotten it once.
I usually order veggie pho through bite squad. I like the food but quality is inconsistent. 45769 review-just-average-pho-little-salty just-average-pho-little-salty http://www.kirklandpho.feedback/review-just-average-pho-little-salty 6 6 6 0 0 0 Just average pho, and a little too salty. I think Pho Tai and the former Saigon Jades were better. Dumplings and egg rolls are overly dense and fried. Fresh spring rolls are okay, but even those at Metro market are better. I think there is better pho around here.
Just average pho, and a little too salty. I think Pho Tai and the former Saigon Jades were better. Dumplings and egg rolls are overly dense and fried. Fresh spring rolls are okay, but even those at Metro market are better. I think there is better pho around here.
2016-09-22T22:13+0000

45768 review-second-time-eat-food-friend second-time-eat-food-friend http://www.kirklandpho.feedback/review-second-time-eat-food-friend 6 6 6 0 0 0 This is the second time I eat their food. The first time my friend brought me their beef and meatballs pho. It was good, nothing too special but good Today, my friends and I had beef vermicelli. The portion is big enough to make you full. I cannot eat a lot of food in just one meal, so I ate around half of it. The beef was ok, not a lot of flavor, just ok. The rest was the usual vermicelli cold noodles with lettuce, onions and carrots. The restaurant just had us and another table with three people and still the service was very slow. It took a while until we got our food and I saw just one person walking in to pick up her food. Once again, there is nothing special about this place. Average food and service.
This is the second time I eat their food. The first time my friend brought me their beef and meatballs pho. The chicken pho used to be so flavorful and yummy and last few time it felt like a cheap store bought broth.... sadly we had to start looking for a new place to go to have pho!
We’ve been going to that place for few years and it was our favorite soup spot and lately the quality of food went down as well as the service. 45766 review-suspect-ownership-changed-things-little suspect-ownership-changed-things-little http://www.kirklandpho.feedback/review-suspect-ownership-changed-things-little 6 6 6 0 0 0 I suspect the ownership has changed here, and things seem a little different. Before, they had the best seafood pho in the area, hands down. Shrimp, fried catfish pieces, fish balls, fried shallots, and a savory, tangy broth. Now I find the pho to be a lot more variable. Many times they don't have the catfish, so it's just two shrimp, fish balls, and imitation krab. The broth is sometimes good, sometimes way too dilute. I still come here, hoping it's a good day, but I'm disappointed with my pho about half of the time. Other dishes, like the rice plates and vermicelli bowls, are pretty good, on par with other Vietnamese places. Note that there is now an extra charge for credit cards on checks less than $10. I believe they even charge it if your meal is less than $10 even if total + tip adds up to more. Not a fan of this.
I suspect the ownership has changed here, and things seem a little different. 45765 review-giving-rating-pho-good-compared giving-rating-pho-good-compared http://www.kirklandpho.feedback/review-giving-rating-pho-good-compared 6 6 6 0 0 0 I'm giving this rating for the pho. The pho here is good compared to many of the pho places that I've been too and the price is reasonable. The customer service is okay, they always take forever to get my drink out, like my pho comes out before my drink does. The last time I was here for a to go pick up, I paid the cashier and there was some change left, she didn't give it to me but threw my change in the tip jar. That was really rude and she didn't say thank you, but turned away.
I’m giving this rating for the pho. The service was fast and the food was better then I expected. I came here right when it opened and it was filled up within minutes so come early if you want seating.
The first time here I had a hum bao and it was complete ass but I also had it To go, I don’t know if that makes a different but the second I had bun bo hue and it was actually so flavorful and great. 45745 review-search-best-bahn-mi-going search-best-bahn-mi-going http://www.kirklandpho.feedback/review-search-best-bahn-mi-going 10 10 10 0 0 0 I have been on a search for the best Bahn Mi (without going to the international district) and I think I FINALLY have found it! There have been some awful places around and FINALLY a place has got it right and its location is Kirkland Pho House. Unfortunately you can't eat in, you have to take it to go BUT its worth it! They have nailed the right portion size, the bread is always soft and flaky, the pork is seriously orgasmic and is great quality and the marinade they use is like nothing else that compares. They put the right amount of daikon, cilantro, and jalapenos. The only downfall I wish they would change is to eat in because it really is a cute little restaurant and all the servers are so nice.
I have been on a search for the best Bahn Mi (without going to the international district) and I think I FINALLY have found it! My husband and I recently moved to the east side about two years ago and have been searching for some good pho with no luck. One lazy day, we decided to order this place thru bite squad because I saw they had Banh Xeo (Vietnamese crepes) which was totally amazing btw. And ended up ordering some pho as well and very much enjoyed it!
I love Kirkland pho house! 45762 review-walked-friday-lunch-rush-just walked-friday-lunch-rush-just http://www.kirklandpho.feedback/review-walked-friday-lunch-rush-just 8 8 8 0 0 0 When I walked in during the Friday lunch rush, I just knew I was in for a frustrating meal. It took a long time for the one waitress to clear an empty booth so we could sit down. And I overheard the waitress say she is the only one working the front as a way of explaining slower service three times before we even sat down. I almost walked out but ended up staying... and being very surprised. Yes, I had to grab our menus from the front, we didn't get orders taken immediately and glasses of water arrived a bit later. However, the service was very friendly. It was obvious the waitress was very appreciative of our patience and for our business. The food was great - the pho is one of the best I've had on the Eastside with a rich, clean broth that hit the spot on a cold, rainy day. I also love that they have sate sauce on the table, which is hard to find in this area. We ordered the grilled pork and pickled vegetable spring rolls, and although they were huge and tasted good, I think we'll stick with our normal shrimp and pork spring rolls. We have also ordered bun (vermicelli dishes) for takeout, and they were very good, as well.
When I walked in during the Friday lunch rush, I just knew I was in for a frustrating meal. 45761 review-winner-kind-kirkland-pho-house winner-kind-kirkland-pho-house http://www.kirklandpho.feedback/review-winner-kind-kirkland-pho-house 8 8 8 2 0 2 We have a winner here. Well, kind of. Kirkland Pho House is an excellent Vietnamese restaurant located on NE 85th Street near I-405 and Costco. As if the location weren't already good enough, they have some of the best food in town too! I generally dislike throwing around superlatives, but this restaurant has earned the distinction. And most importantly, I now know where to get a really good lunch for a low price near me when I don't feel like making my own food! First of all, this restaurant is very dark. Like, so dark that the majority of the lighting comes from the sun shining through the front windows. I'm not sure whether that was intentional, but I don't see why they wanted to keep the place so dark. I ordered their #11: Bun Dac Biet, their cool house special vermicelli dish because it's still hot in mid-September in the Pacific Northwest for some reason. The restaurant was actually pretty busy on a Tuesday morning with most of the tables occupied. During my short wait, I watched their two HDTVs playing sports and used their bathroom which was nice and clean. The whole restaurant had an interesting feel to it. The owners must be pretty big Halo fans, as I saw posters for the games all over the restaurant walls. Anyway, the wait was only nine minutes and the bowl was absolutely enormous. It featured egg rolls, three shrimp on a skewer, and grilled pork. Beneath all that were noodles, carrots, peanuts, and a bunch of garnish. Unfortunately, there was no mint flavor which I really like with dishes like these. However, the dish was superb and filled me up for $9.95 ($10.90 after tax). I would have no complaints if more restaurants were like this.
We have a winner here. Well, kind of. 45760 review-waiting-searching-decent-pho-north waiting-searching-decent-pho-north http://www.kirklandpho.feedback/review-waiting-searching-decent-pho-north 8 8 8 0 0 0 This is what I've been waiting for! I've been searching and searching and searching for decent pho on the north and east side without a lot of luck. But I am happy to report that Kirkland Pho has met my expectations! Faith restored!! Kirkland Pho House is in a small strip center with about 10-15 tables. It is exactly what I look for in a pho spot: a small, family-run place with great food. The produce and protein were very fresh. I was also happy that the noodles weren't complete mush which is one of my pet peeves at a lot of pho places; IMO, they should still have a tiny bite to them. The broth is probably the biggest selling point. It is obviously being made from scratch stock, and it has just the right amount of fat in it where it's not either wading in oil (where it separates halfway through your meal...gross) or completely without flavor. We also had the fresh spring rolls. They were not the best I've had, but I'd rate them at at three stars on their own. The only complaint I have is the chopsticks are pretty weak and cheap disposables. This is so not a deal breaker, but I appreciate a good chopstick. Maybe I'll be a huge dork and take my own the next time.
This is what I’ve been waiting for! It is exactly what I look for in a pho spot: a small, family-run place with great food. The produce and protein were very fresh. I was also happy that the noodles weren’t complete mush which is one of my pet peeves at a lot of pho places; IMO, they should still have a tiny bite to them. The broth is probably the biggest selling point. It is obviously being made from scratch stock, and it has just the right amount of fat in it where it’s not either wading in oil (where it separates halfway through your meal…gross) or completely without flavor. We also had the fresh spring rolls. They were not the best I’ve had, but I’d rate them at at three stars on their own. The only complaint I have is the chopsticks are pretty weak and cheap disposables. This is so not a deal breaker, but I appreciate a good chopstick. Maybe I’ll be a huge dork and take my own the next time.

45759 review-place-small-easily-packed-lunch place-small-easily-packed-lunch http://www.kirklandpho.feedback/review-place-small-easily-packed-lunch 8 8 8 0 0 0 This place is rather small and easily packed during lunch time on a Sunday, so be prepared to wait a bit if it's busy! The windows get a little fogged up due to bad ventilation, but it's not unbearable. One thing I love about the pho is their broth. I feel like they make it from scratch, and it doesn't have that bouillon soup base flavor that some pho places use. Their brisket and tendon pho is absolutely delicious! I loved how the tendon was not chewy at all, and it was so tender that some of it fell apart quite easily in the broth. The brisket was also very tasty. Prices are reasonable. It's a little under $9 for a large bowl of pho, and about a dollar less for a smaller size. Service is quick, but you might have to flag someone down if you need something. I haven't tried the other items on the menu, but it looks like they serve bun bo hue which is hard to find in most places!
This place is rather small and easily packed during lunch time on a Sunday, so be prepared to wait a bit if it’s busy! It takes about 20 minutes for us to make the drive from downtown, but it's well worth it. Ask about their Banh Mi punch card. The servers are really nice, and food come out fast. During the raining days, they are a little busier but definitely worth the wait.
Love this place for my fried rice, and grilled short ribs.
